Basalt Cord
Basalt has a 5% higher density compared to E-glass, 15% higher tensile strength and the working temperature is approx. 1,000°C and is therefore 30% higher than E-glass. The colour, a dark green tone, is also often used for optical applications such as cable protection.
Examples of applications:
Civil engineering (plastering systems), thermal, acoustic and chemical insulation, aviation, power stations, motor vehicles, fire protection clothing, cables, the music industry.
